For the sixth year, the 91ΑΤΖζ at Sugar Land is joining ABC 13 and the Ismaili Jamatkhana and Center for the Share Your Holidays Food Drive. This is the 44th year for the event, which will take place on Giving Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2024.
βWe are so happy to join with our neighbors at the Ismaili Center to collect food for people right here in our community,β said Jay Neal, associate vice president, academic affairs and chief operating officer at UH at Sugar Land. βThis annual event is part of us and we invite everyone to share their holidays.β
Collection bins are located in the Albert & Mamie George Building Rotunda, Brazos Hall near the elevators and the Technology Building near the elevators.
The Ismaili Center will be accepting drop-off donations on Tuesday, Dec. 3 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. (1700 First Colony Blvd, Sugar Land, 77479)
Non perishable items collected in Fort Bend County will benefit the East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry.
Below are the most needed items:
Canned tuna, canned meat, canned fruit, canned pasta, canned tomatoes (all types),
canner soup (15 oz), canned yams (14,5 - 15.5 oz), canned corn (14,5 - 15.5 oz), canned
mixed vegetables (14,5 - 15.5 oz), canned green beans (14,5 - 15.5 oz), stuffing,
chicken broth, mashed potatoes (any size), pie crust, dry pasta, ramen noodles (dry
soup), macaroni and cheese (boxes and cups), jelly, peanut butter, pancake mix, instant
oatmeal packets, granola bars, peanut butter/cheese sandwich crackers. Please no oversized
cans (from Sams/Costco).
