Student Madeleine Allman has received an F31 from the National Institutes of Health
entitled, 鈥�Implementation and scale-up of a caregiver intervention.鈥� Madeleine is advised by Dr. Sharp.
Dr. Zvolensky received an R01 from the National Cancer Institute entitled, 鈥�Community-based Smoking Cessation Treatment for Adults with High Anxiety Sensitivity.鈥�
Dr. Venta鈥檚 research was included in a Houston Press article on well-being in the
context of Mexico 鈥� Texas border incidents ().
Dr. Woods鈥� research on cognition and electronic patient health portals was featured
on NPR ()
Spring 2023
Student Jasmin Brooks received a $20,000 Scholar Award from the Philanthropic Educational
Organization Foundation. Jasmin is advised by Dr. Rheeda Walker.
Dr. Gallagher was featured in a Washington Post piece about the psychological aspects
of hope ().
Two UH Clinical Faculty members were featured in articles published in the New York
Times. Dr. Walker was featured in an article on suicide risk (), while Dr. Alfano was featured in an article on sleep and anxiety ().
