Getting Started

Canvas is available to the faculty with a CougarNet login and can be accessed through AccessUH.  The instructor can use the following steps to begin with.

Request a Course

You must submit a course request form to use Canvas and this must be done each and every semester. You will need your course number/section number to fill out the form.  You can use the "Course Request System" icon in AccessUH to request a Canvas course or check its status.

Add a TA or Co-Instructor

You can add a TA or Co-Instructor to your Canvas class using the "Course Request System" icon in AccessUH.  You will need the TA's PeopleSoft ID.  This can be done anytime during the semester.

Attend Workshops

Whether you are an experienced user of Canvas or a new adopter, we have a workshop tailored just for you. Visit our Workshops page to schedule a session for Canvas, or for other technologies, such as, Microsoft Teams, Turning Point, Respondus, MyMediasite, and Turnitin.
