The Hines College is once again making its mark on the city’s architectural landscape, with faculty, students, and alumni recognized among the winners of this year’s AIA Houston Design Awards. Presented annually by the American Institute of Architects’ Houston chapter, these awards are considered the region’s highest honor for design excellence.

At the end of July, the WithIt Women’s Leadership Development Network announced fifteen scholarship recipients for students studying for degrees in the home and furnishing industry across the country. Five Hines College students received awards to further their studies and had the opportunity to travel to Kansas City, Missouri, to attend the WithIt Professional Conference.

The 91ÁÔÆæ Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture and Design continues to shape the future of the field with five winning entries in the 2025 Texas Society of Architects Studio Awards. Celebrating unbuilt work that demonstrates design excellence, the awards honor both real and theoretical projects exploring critical issues facing the built environment.
